Consumer Law
The Firm’s Area of Consumer Law has a team of lawyers trained to assist its clients in all the matters related to Act No. 19,496, which “sets forth Regulations on the Protection of Consumers’ Rights”, and new bills regarding this matter.
In particular, the Firm has extensive experience in disputes and defending the interests of consumer goods and services companies before the various Local Police Courts and Courts of Appeal of the country, with regards to Consumer Law topics.
Likewise, the Firm is qualified to advise companies of different industries on the many contingencies that may arise in relation to Consumer Law, risk assessment and revision of contracts subscribed with the consumers, reply to Official Letters by the National Consumer Service (SERNAC, in Spanish) and collaboration in the implementation of corrective measures of any weaknesses observed during audits, as well as assisting the companies during legal proceedings and collective arbitration.
